Good Morning,
Milo is so adorable!!! Now for the stretches, I am actually going to try a few this morning after my coffee. I woke up today with the same body aches as I always do. I think it is my mattress and not my age of 70...

I start every day with stretches and a 3.5 mile walk.

Many recommend stretching first thing in the morning to stimulate circulation & oxygenation to cells. I love that stretching is defined as "a form of physical exercise". While in itself it may not cause weight loss, it can prepare & improve the body for exercise that DOES contribute to weight loss.

Benefits of stretching:

- Reduced muscle tension
- Increased range of movement in the joints
- Enhanced muscular coordination
- Increased blood circulation, leading to increased energy

You are SO right about those New Year's resolutions Lisa! (Crash! Oops! There goes another one!) Wish I had a cute personal trainer like Milo! My kitty is quite inspirational though...she really knows how to stretch! That's how I start MY days (while still in bed), preceded by a full glass of water and followed by deep breathing exercises, then a nice healthy breakfast. NOTE to Annie: think about retiring your old mattress! What a difference that can make! Make sure the new one is firm enough so that you can do the first stages of your stretches while still flat on your back. That will get you primed to hit the deck the way Lisa does!
