Dine al Desko With Flatout Bread Sandwiches
February 20, 2015 2 Comments
Have you seen Flatout Bread? It comes in these awesome shapes to make light sandwich making easy.
The sandwich above is on HungryGirl Foldit Flatbread and the shape is like the number 8. All you have to do is fold it over! (get it)
Here is what the package looks like:
I used hummus, lettuce, cucumber and tomato to make a sandwich that is 100% whole wheat. The Flatout Foldit bread has 43% fewer calories than 2 slices of wheat bread (if the two slices of wheat bread are 157 calories).
Here is the nutritional information for one Foldit Flatbread:
90 calories, 2.5 g fat, 0.0 g saturated fat, 15.0 g carbohydrates, <1 g sugar, 7 g protein, 7 g fiber, 360 mg sodium
These breads are tasty, easy to use, and can be stuffed with all sorts of good stuff to keep lunch life from getting boring.
The Light Original Flatout bread makes a great wrap and also is 90 calories. With this option your sandwich is more of a circular, burrito shape and can be filled with a bunch of healthy stuff like lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, onions, bacon....:)
Go taste Flatout Flatbread at Walmart!! There will be in-store tastings in Walmarts across the nation from February 27-March 1st, 2015.
Here’s a link to a coupon – 50 cents off per package – if you decide you want to buy it: Flatout Bread Coupon.
