Spinach Feta Swirls: Easy Thanksgiving Appetizer
November 5, 2015
Thanksgiving will be here before you know it and I am always looking for short-cuts for the big day.
Pillsbury™ Crescent rolls are an excellent for creating your own special snack or appetizer. I picked up mine at my local Shaws store.
These swirls feature non-fat feta, frozen spinach, and a few scallions. They are simple to make and can hang out in your fridge until you are ready to bake them. These swirls reheat well too – if they get overlooked in all the hubbub and you end up serving them the next day.
Pillsbury Spinach Feta Swirls Recipe
Makes 20 Swirls
1 package Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
½ cup non-fat Feta Cheese, crumbled
½ cup frozen chopped spinach, squeezed of liquid
3 scallions, diced
Preheat oven to 375 F. Mix Feta, spinach, and scallions in a small bowl until well blended. Unroll the crescent rolls onto a counter top and form 4 rectangles from the dough. Spread ¼ of filling onto each rectangle evenly. Roll up the rectangles into long dough tubes. Slice tubes into 5 circles and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 13-15 minutes until dough is lightly browned. Enjoy warm.
