Halloween is right around the corner and it is time to get a Trick-or-Treat bag for the loot!
It is important to have a sturdy and distinctive candy bag so your child doesn’t confuse his bag with someone else's.
In honor of the Peanuts movie, I decided to make a Peanuts themed snack. This was super fun and my kids immediately got the reference to Charlie Brown.
I made Rice Krispie treats following the instructions on the Kellogg’s box – 3 tablespoons butter melted in a sauce pan – melt 4 cups of marshmallows on low heat – mix in 6 cups of Rice Krispies and spread in greased casserole dish when mixed. Then I took some Nestle Raisinets and made a shirt border.
Because the Rice Krispie treat is squishy, you can push the raisins in and the will stay put.
I sealed these up in small Ziploc containers so they could bring them to school as a treat at lunch (no nuts!).
Be sure to check out the Peanuts Movie Sweepstakes to enter to win a trip to Snoopy’s Home in California or a Peanuts Movie Themed Xbox Console and Game by Activision. I am wondering if this home is a dog house or a "star" house. Would love to find out!
