The orchards here in Western Massachusetts are laden with apples. It is a dreamy time of year to be in New England.

Top 10 Apple Recipes

Even if you live in West Palm Beach, it is time to eat some apples. I'm sure the Sunshine State is importing some fresh apples for baby boomer consumption.

Here on Snack Girl, I have featured a bunch of apple based snacks to keep you from getting bored with apples. My personal favorite is the "Naked Pie" because I don't have to make a pastry crust to create an apple pie! You also avoid the 8 tablespoons of butter in the crust.

I hear that having an apple slicer, peeler, corer is a great way to process apples. I don't own one, yet, but with so many apple orchards close by - I may have to get one to start cranking out the apple treats.

Here are ten Snack Girl apple favorites - all are HEALTHY and fun ways to serve apples:

I love this time of year because of apples and pumpkin! All your apple recipes look delish!!

This is why I love Fall! and I LOVE that I can enjoy my favorite Fall foods and traditions and do it in a healthy way!! Thanks so much! You rock!

I love fall for apples and pumpkins also! I own an apple peeler/corer, it is the BEST gadget to own. If you bake apple pies, it is worth the investment. I find myself baking more apple pies because of the peeler. Also the BEST apple ever is the honey crisp, if you have them in your area this is a MUST eat!

Here's another one - homemade applesauce (which can be canned!) and is super easy: http://www.anorganicwife.com/2012/09/recipe-applesauce.html

Now I'm really excited for apple season! I make myself something similar to your apple and peanut butter oatmeal; I make applesauce and peanut butter oatmeal. It cuts down a little on the prep time (I know it doesn't take long to wash and cut up an apple, but with a 14 month old, every minute counts. :) I cut back a little on the water so that the oatmeal's not too soupy. It's such a yummy, healthy, easy way to start the day.

Lisa, I was disappointed in #3 on your list. I was very excited to try it at home because I *love* apple crisps! I followed your directions except I didn't put sugar or cinnamon on them. I put them in the oven for THREE hours and a few of them just started to get crispy but not many. Mainly they were soft, dried apple slices. Any suggestions? Surely the sugar wouldn't make that much difference, would it?! And if so, would a sugar substitute work just as well?

OMG - The boys will love me (&You) with all these Yummy Treats! Thank you you for the fabulous idea's!!

Wow! These recipes look scrumptious! I can't wait to try these for a healthy dessert. The smell of baked apples, cinnamon, nutmeg on a chilly fall morning, check out my Fall Apple Oatmeal Bake:

I agree, honey crisp is the absolute best.
